I have always enjoyed taking photos.  I remember as a kid my first camera used 110 film, and I distinctly remember my parents being less than thrilled at the developing costs.  Since then, and really until 2 years ago I owned/used point-and-shoot cameras, always wanting to get a “real” camera but putting it off for other priorities.  That changed in 2023 while planning a trip to the American Southwest.  I knew we would be seeing some fantastic scenery and wanted to get a decent camera to capture what we were about to see, feel, and experience.  That’s when I made the commitment to get a camera and learn how to use it.  Since then I have been consuming as much as I could about photography:  camera settings, composition, lighting, you name it.

So that’s it – I am about 2 years into this journey and loving every minute of it.
