Wedding 2nd Shooter

This section is mostly for wedding lead photographers, and I suspect you are here to evaluate me as a potential second shooter on technical skill, professionalism, reliability, and personality fit.

  • My primary area is in portrait photography, and second shooting weddings is simply to augment that business.
  • I am here to support you 100% in your business. I have no plans to become a full-time wedding photographer (if you read my About page you can read about my background).
  • I have an extensive professional career that includes experiences similar to weddings and the soft skills needed to navigate similar situations – many of the key aspects I imagine you want in a second shooter.

Here is what you can expect from me...
Professionalism & Presence
  • Maintains a calm, positive, and respectful demeanor
  • Handles guests and vendors professionally
  • Works well in high-pressure environments without complaint

Coachability & Communication
  • Takes direction and feedback well
  • Communicates clearly and proactively
  • Asks thoughtful questions (e.g., expectations, lenses to bring, backup gear)

Reliability & Preparedness
  • Arrives on time and fully prepared
  • Able to work a full-day event without energy drop-off
  • Understands memory card and battery management

Wedding Day Flow
  • Familiar with typical wedding timeline (prep → ceremony → portraits → reception)
  • Anticipates key moments
  • Knows when to take initiative and when to stay in the background
  • Captures alternate angles that complement lead photographer’s coverage

My Portfolio page showcases just some of the people-focused work (portraits, events, candid moments) I have done, but I have plenty more that I could not put on this site.  Contact me here and I would be happy to discuss all of the above in more detail.
